I used to work at a major record label and throw watermelons out windows, to grab people’s attention, to promote music. We were music lovers, passionate about championing great records. To cut through the social media noise, we had to stand out, and we did anything for our artists.
But what if we didn't have to cut through anything at all. What if we could share things directly with fans, off social media, in a place they joined because they wanted to be part of something that was fun and exciting.
Together with some friends, we made it our mission to solve this problem. So we founded Smash. A group chat for artists and their fans, where artists can be artists, not be forced into influencers. It’s for all of us who love music and want to dive deeper into the records we love.
